HIRE

The studio has lots of open access opportunities to work completely independently on your own projects whether that’s with paper or textiles. Only experienced screen printers can hire print equipment and book sessions after completing their induction training course to familiarise themselves with the space and equipment. All newcomers to IoM will have completed a one to two day technical course and induction training before working independently, booking sessions and hiring equipment.

  • A 3.5 hour introduction to the whole studio set up including screen preparation, exposing screens, preparing artwork, mixing ink. With time to print at the end of the session and ask technical questions to get your project started.

    AM 9am – 1pm
    PM 1pm – 5pm

  • VACUUM PAPER PRINT PRESS – Includes 1 x A4 screen & squeegee / wash bay / exposure unit access.

    T-SHIRT CAROUSEL & HEAT CURE DRYER/HEAT PRESS

    SEWING – Machine & overlocker includes iron and board/mannequin

    BULLET STEAMER

    DIGITAL SERVICES – iMac flat screen, A3 flat bed scanner, Epson printer  

    SCREEN RENTAL – Full day table hire includes the price of coating and exposing one screen up to A3. Extra screens can be rented at the following rates: A4 screen £5 / A3 screen £10 / A2 screen £15 / A1 screen £20

MENTORING

If you are starting to consider a creative career path, a graduate looking for direction, at a mid career point or a more established creative and would like space to talk through ideas, discuss your work, consider new opportunities within print, textiles, portfolio, education, business and the creative industries then a 1-1 with Lorna would be a great starting point.

SUPPORTED SESSIONS

For artists who want 1-1 technical help to use the studio or develop a specific project. You may have done some training with IoM or elsewhere, or might be returning to screen printing and need that extra support to build your confidence. Supported sessions are designed as a route to improve specialist skills and knowledge in order to work towards independent session and equipment hire.

EXPERIENCES

IoM offers private workshop sessions for special occasions, corporate team building or CPD. Bring colleagues, associates, family or friends together in a completely different environment to enjoy a shared making experience.

OUTREACH

IoM also has easy, adaptable, mobile kit and can set up screen print and sewing stations in any space.
