The Studio - Equipment Set Up

You will find all you need to start screen printing and making with textiles.

IoM’s light flooded studios can be found on floor 1 of The Heart and offers flexible opportunities to attend classes, work independently or with technical support.

As part of Creative Scotland’s Crowdmatch competition with Crowdfunder uk, IoM launched a campaign to raise the studio start up costs in March 2021. The crowdfund campaign successfully raised the funds required with a CROWD of 366 supporters and received £10,000 match funding from Creative Scotland.

The Heart of Newhaven, a neighbourhood initiative, was granted permission to purchase the former Victoria Primary School building from Edinburgh City Council in July 2021 to create an intergenerational hub for the whole community. Working in partnership with the Heart of Newhaven, IoM will become a sustainable model for wider community development and creative education opportunities.
